Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026. The short version: I collect only what's needed to run a paid subscription and the website, I don't sell it, and there's no advertising or tracking on the site.

What I collect

How I use it

To check that you have an active subscription, to give you access to the calendar and website, to email you your login link or code and a welcome message, to keep your saved items, to answer your emails, and to keep the service secure. I don't use your information for advertising and I don't sell it.

Who else handles it

I rely on a few services to run PHL Events, and each sees only what it needs:

I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.

How long I keep it

Your email stays on the access list while your subscription is active and is removed shortly after it ends. Your saved items stay until you ask me to delete them. Payment records are kept by Stripe under its own policies and legal requirements.

Your choices

You can see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you by emailing me. You can cancel your subscription at any time (see the Terms), and you can clear the session cookie by logging out or deleting it in your browser. If you live somewhere with additional privacy rights, such as California, I'll honor valid requests there too.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the session cookie is HttpOnly and Secure, and login codes are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

PHL Events is not directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top, and tell subscribers by email if the change is significant.
